Anne Tickell

Anne is a City of London Guide, a Clerkenwell and Islington Guide and a London Borough of Camden Guide

She moved into guiding after a series of jobs and degrees including nursing, history of art and architecture, archaeology and publishing. London being such an eclectic and exciting city has meant that she can include all her interests when devising the walks.

She is a volunteer Guide at two National Trust houses in London : Erno Goldfinger’s home in Hampstead and the intriguing 575 Wandsworth Road. She is a volunteer guide at the Guildhall Art Gallery and a guide at The Tate Art Gallery.

She was born in London and took it for granted while growing up but having left for some years she returned to look at it with new eyes and is constantly entranced by the layers of history that soon emerge when you stop rushing and start looking.
