Terraces to Tower Blocks – Somers Town Camden

The coming of the Railways to London brought jobs, prosperity and the opportunity to travel. But many homes were devoured to accommodate the new railway stations, their tracks and coal yards. Somers Town's small terraced houses and slums were replaced by flats and tower blocks. The new St Pancras International Station and the refurbishment of Kings Cross Station continue to have an impact on the area.

Walk starts and finishes at the British Library.
