Lost Rivers of London: The Fleet - Hampstead to Kentish Town
Springs, spas, ponds and sewers with a sprinkling of heroes and villains. We trace the Fleet from its many sources on Hampstead Heath, see it disappear underground and follow its route through Dartmouth Park to Kentish Town. (This is a long walk of about 2 1/2 hours with some sections off the beaten track – good walking boots are required).
The walk is along the length of the river Fleet from Hampstead to Blackfriars. This is an all-day event starting at 10.00 but it is possible to join the walk at Kentish Town at 2 pm or at Kings Cross at 4.30 pm. For more details please email jenni.bowley@walklondonwithus.com
