Walks
Dickens on the Southbank
Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens with a walk through the streets and alleys of London. Let us take you on a journey to discover the city that inspired his writings and created his characters. Dickens’ own childhood experiences in London such as working as a child labourer, visiting his father in the Marshallsea Gaol and working as a clerk coloured the pages of his novels.
On this walk visit the site of the Marshallsea gaol and walk the streets where Dickens set Little Dorrit.
