City of London - Star of the Silver Screen

City of London - Star of the Silver Screen

London has buildings of every style and period and is one of the greatest film sets. Starting at St Paul’s underground station we explore some of the many places in the City that have been used as film locations. Some buildings appear as themselves – such as St Paul’s Cathedral, The Old Bailey, The Royal Exchange – but others are in disguise.

Join us to discover the location of The Leaky Cauldron (Harry Potter), an Argentinian palace (Evita), and a Parisian street scene from The Da Vinci Code. We’ll visit places that have appeared in historical recreations of Victorian times (Sherlock Holmes), in romantic comedies (such as Bridget Jones’ Diary) and in crime films and spy thrillers. Our walk will finish in Leadenhall Market, close to Bank and Liverpool Street stations after about 90 minutes.
